Work In Progress

Numerous things have kept me from doing much stitching, but to keep myself focused, I'll post my WIP. Two of the photos are duplicates that have already been posted on the appropriate SAL's. .I hope!

My first in The Giving Sisters, by Notforgotten Farms. This is the one that I had a good start on, then developed a hole in the fabric when gremlins got a hold of my thread snips, and I had to start all over again.

I'm not great on having to repeat the same pattern over again, especially right away, so I started in a different corner, and completed some new elements first, then tucked the repeats in, here and there, so it hasn't been too bad, and is a lot of fun to see it coming together.

My next project is another that has given me fits in the past, but hopefully is going along smoothly now, I say with fingers crossed!

Various fabric changes, then thread counts led to a delay in getting this Heaven & Earth design, QS Iris, going. And being that it is such fine stitching, it causes a lot of eye strain, even using the Ott light, so I don't realistically see marathon stitching sessions coming for this pattern. But it is fun anyway. The colors are much more vivid than show up in this photo.

And, I'm still working on my Agneatha & The Apple. I see now that there is another pattern out there with Agneatha featured. She must be a well loved kitty!

I haven't worked on her in weeks though, so this stitching was done quite a while back, but wasn't posted until now.
With any luck though, I should have her done by December. I'm continuing to think positive!
I hope that everyone has a very enjoyable, and safe weekend!

TUSAL, Part Deux

I'm a little nervous here, trying to post, when I've been having so much trouble even getting into my blog. I know that I'm not alone in having this problem, and join everyone else in raising a cheer when they get it fixed! Of course these things happen right before a long holiday weekend.
So, in not trying to temp the Fates, I'm going to just post my photos with as little fanfare, and be done with it for now!

Once again, the New Moon has rolled around, and it is time for another viewing of my Ort Jar, for the Totally Useless Stitch A Long that YoYo has started on her blog. (If you click on either, the link will take you to where you can sign up too! It is never too late!!)

My threads are coming from three projects that I've worked on the most this past month. Agneatha & The Apple, The Giving Sisters, and an HAED pattern, QS Iris. There are also a few snippets of gridline thrown in there too, to give it loft!
But I still haven't added the threads from my Halloween start, that fizzled. I tried re-weaving the threads, but it just didn't look right. But it was a great idea, and I'll make sure to try it again, IF I ever have that situation come up again!

I hope that everyone else has had a great month, filling their jars, too!

The Fabric Of Our Lives. .Well, One Day, At Least

Life has once again gotten in my way of accomplishing much stitching, but I haven't put any of my projects away. .I keep lovingly eyeing them as I go dashing by, trying to accomplish other things that are vying for my attention at the moment.

But I did take time to savor the moment when a package arrived in my mailbox this past week. A few weeks ago, Daffycat offered some gorgeous fabrics that she had dyed, in a drawing, and guess who won? Me!! Yes, I did!! The fabrics arrived safe and sound, and as gorgeous as they looked in her photos, they are absolutely outstanding!! She did an EXCELLENT job of dying them, and the colors are luscious! I'm already on the prowl for those special patterns to stitch on the fabrics.

And as evidence to her continual attention to detail, just look at the color co-ordinated cheery note card that she included! Hmmmm, those mushrooms would make a cute pattern, don't you think? lol

Thank you, Thank you, Thank You!! Sharon!!!
